Guangzhou is so famous throughout China even in the world mainly for its cuisine and foreign trade. We also have countless skyscrapers and shopping centers all over the energetic city. History and Lingnan  (Cantonese) culture can be seen everywhere. Today we are going to introduce some of the must-see attractions in Guangzhou.

  • Shangxiajiu Pedestrian      Street (上下九步行街)

Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street is more than 800 meters long. It is quite equivalent to Shanghai's Nanjing Road, coz you can see here many sotto porticos with exotic Lingnan style featuring the characteristics of south Europe and Canton, a lively old street filled with dim sum restaurants,  gift stores, clothing shops and so on. Food and shopping are always the main theme of this one of the busiest commercial pedestrian street. The shrimp dumplings (虾饺) in  Guangzhou Jiujia (广州酒家), the rice noodles roll (肠粉) in Yinji restaurant (银记), the double layer milk custard (双皮奶) in Nanxin Dessert (南信) are the most famous.
